Why Alpaca is recommended: it's a real, documented brokerage API with keys that don't expire on their own — set them up once and they keep working. Robinhood has no official public API; the token above is pulled manually from your browser session, and Robinhood can invalidate it at any time, which breaks automated trading until it's re-extracted. Alpaca also offers a free paper-trading mode so you can watch the strategy trade with fake money before risking real capital.

Find your API keys in Alpaca dashboard → API Keys → Generate New Key.
Where to find your keys: Log in to alpaca.markets → click your name → API Keys → Generate New Key. Copy both the Key ID and Secret Key immediately — the secret is shown only once.
Robinhood API Token  How to get it? →
1-month trial only. Robinhood doesn't offer an official API — the token below is extracted manually from your browser and isn't a refreshable credential, so Robinhood can revoke it at any time without warning. We support it for a 1-month test period so you can try the strategy, but for ongoing automated trading we'll ask you to move to Alpaca, which doesn't have this limitation.
